Friday, Jan. 7, 6:00pm: Virtual Happy Hour -- Come as You Are. BYOB, and everything else, for a resort to Happy Hours on Zoom, which again seem to be needed now. I hope to get back to the in-person HHs as soon as possible. In the meantime, shoes, pants, etc., are optional. Meeting ID: 858 0295 0276, Passcode: happy (Zoom link). RSVP on MeetUp or to Amy at 561-964-3283. |

Sunday, Jan. 9, 6:00pm: Second Sunday Dinner at the Malakor Thai Café in northern West Palm Beach, 425 25th Street (http://malakor.com/). In the resurgent area of almost Northwood, the patio of this little eating establishment is nearly invisible within its tropical foliage. The menu contains the usual Thai dishes and a full sushi bar -- menu highlights: Crispy Money Bag, Isaan Sausages, Shrimp Shumai, Vegan Gyoza, Kobe Tuna, Sashimi and Sushi Appetizers, Hamachi Jalapeno, Crying Tiger salad (I will have to try that!), Nam Sod, and Boat Noodle Soup. There are just a few of the entries on an extensive menu. Check out the website. Reserve by Saturday, January 8 by contacting Elissa (elissa12@bellsouth.net) or signing up on Meetup. |

Saturday, Jan. 15, 6:00pm: Virtual Happy Hour -- Black Tie Not Required. Zoom in for another Happy Hour online. No need for formal attire, but we can be festive anyway, even if it's a little late for New Years celebrations. Meeting ID: 858 0295 0276, Passcode: happy (Zoom link). RSVP on MeetUp or to Amy at 561-964-3283. |

Sunday, Jan. 23, 11:00am: Fourth Sunday Brunch/Lunch at This Is It Cafe, 444 24th St, West Palm Beach. Rescheduled from November on the report that it was closed. It's alive and well, with nice outdoor seating as available. They dish up a selection of American comfort food in ample portions; reviews give high marks to the salmon cakes. RSVP please on MeetUp or to Amy at 561-964-3283. |
