FIRST FRIDAY at Payathai restaurant in the shopping mall/center at the northwest corner of Lantana Rd. and Congress Ave. If you enter the shopping center from the Lantana Rd. entrance Payathai is about 10 stores down on the right. Saturday, June 21, 5 pm. Summer Solstice Party The Summer Solstice celebration will take place one day after the actual Solstice. But we can toast it anyway. There will be barbecues, a great swimming pool, clear skies, and a wrap up or wind down with desserts at Elissa's, within walking distance of the pool area. Bring something to throw on the grill, any other picnic-type food to share, and your swim gear. Drinks, plates, utensils, chips & the like will be provided. If it rains all day, forget grilling outside and bring prepared food instead.
Directions: from I-95: Atlantic Avenue exit in Delray Beach; west; cross over Congress Avenue; continue to Military Trail; right or north on Military Trail; at second traffic signal, Lakefront Blvd., left or west into Highpoint, sections 1 & 2. Tuesday, June 24, 9:00 pm. Turtle Walks at Boca Raton's Gumbo Limbo Nature Center, south Palm Beach County. Every season between May and July Gumbo Limbo guides educate and entertain people with information about the indomitable mama loggerhead turtles that come to the beaches to dig nests and lay their eggs. Most years we actually watch a turtle lay her eggs. You will appreciate the enormously dangerous tasks of the loggerheads. Contact Elissa for tickets or RSVP on Meetup. Sunday, June 1. Mensa Outdoor - Bicycle tour of western Broward. This is intended to be a 30-mile ride, and not for the timid. We will go thru Coral Springs, Parkland, and similar western communities. There will be several rest and water stops, as well as a lunch stop. Saturday, June 14. Mensa Outdoor - Mensa/OAK/MeetUp Monthly Party - If you've been there, you know the people. If you haven't, come and meet some very nice folks - some you'll know, and there's always new folks as well. It's Bring-A-Dish (side dish or main entree type), and a $4.00 contribution. Sunday, June 15. Mensa Outdoor - Father's day. Our 5-mile walk at the Hollywood beach. Park in the garage for $5.00 for the whole day, and bring beach gear and soak up a little June sun. Contact Jordan London.

Sunday, June 22, 10 am. Sunday Brunch at at McDivots at Carolina Club. The buffet is back! Sunday Brunch like you remember. Brunch delights, soups, salads, desserts. Just like a small city with businesses like Publix and 120 professions to choose from, your child will open their own Bank Account and earn Wannado buck to deposit and withdraw with their own ATM card. This is a kids role playing theme park located in comfortable air conditioning where kids do what they Wannado. Children $15.95. Food takes real money!
