FIRST FRIDAY at Payathai restaurant in the shopping mall/center at the northwest corner of Lantana Rd. and Congress Ave. If you enter the shopping center from the Lantana Rd. entrance Payathai is about 10 stores down on the right. Sunday, April 13. Mensa Outdoor - Bicycle in Shark Valley. A U-Shaped federal park, part of the Everglades National Park, with a fifteen-mile paved path. You can borrow a bicycle from OAK or rent one at the park. We take a break at the 7-mile mark, visit the 65-foot high observation tower that overlooks the Everglades, pit stop if desired. Sunday, April 20, 6 pm. Mensa Outdoor - OUR TRADITIONAL FULL MOON MOONLIGHT PADDLE WITH DINNER ON THE WATER. We get together about 6:00 PM and on the lake at/by 6:30 at Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield. We paddle for an hour or so, then all the boats tie up together around a skiff in the middle of the lake. Everyone gets a lap tray 1' x 2', and a 9-course gourmet dinner including salad with dressings, main dish with side and vegetable, dessert, liquids, and candle-light (sort of). The food and drinks get passed from the skiff to each boat. We're out by 9:30 PM and have a fantastic evening. Cost is $28.00/ Member, $33.00 per Non-Member. Contact Jordan London, 954-961-8286.

Sunday, April 27, 9 am. Mensa Outdoor - Our five-mile leisurely walk on the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk. 9:00 AM starting time. This is a leisurely walk starting from the Johnson Street bandstand and going north to the white condominium apartment building bordering Dania Beach. For the real hardy, they can continue the walk up to the Dania Beach Pier, another half mile each way. Afterward, brunch at the very reasonable Ocean Alley restaurant on the ocean.
