Friday, October 5, 7:00 pm. FIRST FRIDAY at Payathai restaurant in the shopping mall/center at the northwest corner of Lantana Rd. and Congress Ave. If you enter the shopping center from the Lantana Rd. entrance Payathai is about 10 stores down on the right. Saturday, October 6, 6 pm. Cruise the Jungle Queen out of Fort Lauderdale. The cruise takes you up the New River to their island where you will have an unlimited BBQ ribs and shrimp dinner, a live variety revue, and an informal zoo. Alcoholic drinks are extra. The boat leaves at 6:00 P.M. and returns around 9 -9:30 P.M. There is a running commentary on the interesting sights bordering the river, and continuous music. This is part of National Testing Day all over the U.S. There will be a big push in the national media to encourage smart people to take the Mensa challenge.
