Saturday, June 21. PARTICIPATE WITH OAK - Boca Beach Bash and Red Reef Bicycle Ride. First a tailgate breakfast, then we leave from Hillsboro Boulevard, go up the protected bicycle path along A1A in Boca with 2 rest stops on the way and then go on to Red Reef beach. The reef actually comes up to the beach and snorkeling is marvelous. We send the snorkel gear and all the food, charcoal, etc., in advance by car so that it's waiting for us when we get to the beach, and the car takes it back for us afterward. SNORKEL, SWIM, SUN, AND BARBECUE PICNIC on the beach after. Then, we'll go to Spanish River Park and up to Gumbo Limbo Nature Center, a really neat place with boardwalk and 3 large pools for fish, turtles, etc. About 5 miles each way. If you don't want to bicycle, just meet us at Red Reef Park Beach - Caution - it's $8.00 to park there. OR meet us at the starting point, take up the gear and food, and we'll pay your parking fee. OAK will lend you a bicycle if you need one. Cost $12.00 per member, $15.00 per non-member. Payment when reservation is made. Contact Ruby Allman, 954-961-7334 or Jordan London 954-961-8286.
