Palm Beach County Mensa Calendar of Events - August 2001
Mensa events are open to all Mensans, their spouses, children and guests. Who may or may not attend a private home is at the host's discretion. Hosts: Please mention any special concerns about your location, such as smoking restrictions, limited access for the handicapped, or presence of pets. Guests: If you have any special needs or restrictions, please check with your host before attending an event.
Notice! Our group has merged its calendar with the one from the Broward group and some events from Miami. The icon in the rightmost column of the event indicate what group(s) are hosting that activity (B for Broward, M for Miami, P for Palm Beach County). See the legends at the bottom of this page for an explanation of other icons that appear in this column. Most phone numbers for Broward events will be area code 954, for Miami, 305.

Friday, August 3rd. FIRST FRIDAY AT CHESTERFIELDS (6:30 pm for Happy hour, 7:00 pm or 7:30 pm for dinner) Join Palm Beach Mensa at Chesterfields, 530 S Federal Hwy., Delray Beach. It's our 1-year anniversary-for 12 months the staff (ever-changing) has been putting up with us. Take a walk on the wild side-come out & see if they've put up new signs touting "The Britannia." Sunday, August 5th. BEACH WALK! 4PM. The Beach Walks begin in Boca and we'll see whether we get all the way to across the county. Join Kay Skoog and bring your friends for a sandy stroll in sun and surf. Meet in South County Park, just south of the Boca Raton inlet on A1A, (parking fee $5), and look for my green car with the Mensa M sign. We will walk a mile or two on the beach and look at what the tide has brought in. Then we will drive to nearby restaurant for pizza. RSVP by Saturday (4th) to Kay (561)395-4575.(home).
